Tyrepower came into being almost a quarter of a century ago and in fact 2003 will be the 25th Anniversary of our beginnings. Founded initially to position the independent tyre retailer in a position where we could gain some protection from the manufacturer based retail chains, Tyrepower has now grown into the largest independent tyre retailer in Australia.

Tyrepower is now recognised by many of the major manufacturers as a primary distribution channel in this country from which we now enjoy preferential and exclusive arrangements with trade names such as:

Tyrepower, unlike most of our competitors, is a co-operative group, which is owned by the store owner/operators and for many years has used the slogan:

Many consumers have felt that, as a result, our stores do not enjoy the buying power of other national retail chains. The reality is far removed from this in that Tyrepower dealers are uniquely positioned in the market to be able to offer the consumer a wide range of product that provides the best value for money without the limitation of being restricted to "Home" brands or "Parent" brands.

In Australia Tyrepower operates in four distinct regions with senior management based in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. With this structure we are able to promptly meet the consumer needs together with those of our dealer members. Consumers can be assured that no matter where they are in the country there is a Tyrepower store in the vicinity and that the service from one store can be supported by a network of 230 stores across the country.
